A. This will vary depending on the resolution and file format you choose. This chart should help give you a good estimate to how many the DVD will hold.
Q. Can I choose what negative frames I want scanned?
A. There is no good way to identify which frames to scan or not scan so we must scan each frame. Also individual 35mm frames cannot be inserted into our scanners and must be mounted in plastic slide mounts to be scanned so please avoid cutting your negatives.
Q. Does dust and scratch removal work on Black and White film?
A. No. Due to the silver halide emulsion on B&W film the software we use to remove dust and scratches cannot be used.
Q. Do I need to give you an exact count of negatives to be scanned?
A. No. Our scanners will count the number of negatives as they are scanned. We will use this number to generate your final invoice amount.
Q. Can you scan a sigle negative that has been cut from a strip?
A. Yes, however we must mount it in a 35mm slide mount first. There is a .20 cent fee to mount them.
Q. Is it better to scan the negative or print photo?
A. It is always better to scan the negative because it is usually in better condition and can be scanned at a higher resolution than the print.
